i have been following your 30 day emotional challenge, with great interest, and i have found your hollistic approach to Biological Psychology, inspiring.
However i feel you must learn to better the use of “command of language”, for example when you say “dirty little secrets”, this creates unwanted negative energy. For me this has caused some confusion, i can’t understand for a woman with such wisdom why your past is still a thorn in your side. We all have skeletons in our cupboards, non of us are angels, we have all done “bad” things some worse than others.
For me the quote “all saints have a past, and all sinners have a future” is inspiring, we should not let our past be a source of fear. Anyway i am glad that the Lori Painter we have today was moulded by the challenges life had thrown against her. Your past should be a inspiration to all those who are trying to change thier lives.
Fear is cognitive behaviour when we come across uncertain or unfamilar situations, its a kind of safety switch. Intuition is our minds experiance that guides us to make descions, however our intuition can some times lead us to want selfish desires, and we all know wants can be dangerous. So it is important that if we are to overcome our fears we do so in a grounded step by step concious manner, so that we do not hurt ourselves or more importantly others who are around us.
The saying “dirty little secrets” is a reference I made in the video I am referring to. The fact that you are following my blog tells me that you KNOW I don’t feel any shame about my past now. It is empowering to let others know that we have all been there at some point in our life and I am showing how to move through it rather than pretend it doesn’t exist!
I have no thorn in my side… I am FREE and shining who I am!!! 🙂
You were the one who made me understand that words carry an energy, and as you must know, that i do not judge your wisdom. However pick your words wisely as they can carry so much influence.
Wishing you all the very Best.
ps, i can feel the energy in the words of your reply, and i feel a kind of rebutle of my comments, anyway i agree that your life is a source of inspiration to others.
Hi Lori, So neat, I hadn’t yet watched this v-post when you did my intake for your coaching the next morning. I see how some of the topics went together. Also, I’m not receiving notifications even though I signed up to be emailed whenever you update your blog. I hope that will change so I can see them as soon as you post them! 🙂
I’ve been putting off Toastmasters for years and have signed up and almost gotten myself there several times, but didn’t. There is one by my new location …
For me, I did open mike, though which needed to be a priority at the time. I’m rambling, it’s late!
I think my “fear” right now is how to get my attic fixed up nice for the kids to have a great hang-out space!!! I need to understand I can ask for help and just accept that friends don’t mind helping out.
Also there’s a fear of being totally successful and self-sufficient. But I’m ready to let that go.
Hi Lori, You are amazing to watch transform over the past few years! Your positive energy comes through your eyes and voice…clear and precise! The raw food works, doesn’t it?! Toastmasters is THE place to arise to the challenge and fun of public speaking. I achieved Competent Toastmaster(first ten speeches) years back. Just recently thought of going back to get into the flow of that well structured learning environment as well. The world needs people like you (and I) to get back the intelligent life force of speaking your oracle through through the power of words, phrases and sentences at every available opportunity that unfolds. You are spreading healthy seeds Lori. Watch the global forest transform! Of course I’ll be actively following. If you ever want to come into Vancouver, Canada area to speak, I’ll even help to get you a public event!
If you are running through life feeling overwhelmed and not really making the impact you know you want, or wishing you felt alive and filled with passion then you are going to LOVE me!
