  3. >I think sometimes guys use the term “open relationship” to just not want to commit. another thing is that going from a monogamous relationship to an open relationship is often just a set before breaking up. but entering into a relationship with the idea of it being open is different. i hope you get all the happiness you deserve!

  5. >Man here….yes, if you are not careful, “open” could be understood as “open to dating or having sex with multiple partners, etc.”

    I think if a woman is stating she wants an “open” relationship when talking to a man and she means in regards to an open heart, open communication, etc. then she needs to fully describe that rather than just using the word “open”. “Open” is a fully loaded word! :O)
